Cook like a local with this half-day Moroccan cooking class with a local chef in Marrakech. Enhance your cooking skills by learning how to prepare authentic dishes and enjoy all the dishes you make during the class.
After meeting at our designated point, we will take a short visit to a nearby local market to buy vegetables and other ingredients we need for cooking.
Then, we head home, where the first thing we do is teach you the traditional way of making Moroccan mint tea. Of course, we drink tea together while getting to know each other. Next, we start the cooking process, where participants learn new techniques such as peeling, chopping, and seasoning tagines with the right spices, just as our mothers and grandmothers do at home.
We usually prepare 3 to 4 different dishes so you can learn more in one class. While cooking, we will talk in-depth about Moroccan cultures, traditions, and history. Participants will work together as a team to prepare different dishes, helping them learn how to make a variety of dishes using different spices. We also cook vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free foods.
The class lasts for 4 hours, from the moment we meet until it’s time to eat. Since you’re on vacation, there’s no stress about the weather—you’ll feel at home.
At the end of the class, it’s time to taste and enjoy the dishes you’ve prepared.
