From Marrakech: Merzouga 3-Days Desert Safari with Food

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades
Start your journey by driving through the High Atlas Mountains, passing one Berber village after another to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou. This village is famous for its kasbah and fortified village, used as a setting for Hollywood epics. After some free time, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and continue your drive through Ouarzazate, known as the Gateway to the Sahara. Continue to Boumalne Dades, admiring the scenic drive along the Dades Valley. Dine and rest for the night at the Kasbah Amazigh or the Chems Hotel.

Day 2: Dades – Todgha Gorge – Merzouga
After breakfast, depart from your hotel and head to Tinghir and its spectacular Todgha Gorge. Take time to explore the canyons before enjoying lunch at a local café. Then, continue to Merzouga to meet your camel caravan. Discover the dunes of Erg Chebbi on the back of a camel and watch the sunset. Reach your desert camp before night and enjoy an authentic Moroccan dinner under the stars. Local nomads will entertain you with traditional Tam Tam drums.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After an early wake-up call to see the sunrise (optional), a driver will be waiting for you for the return transfer to Marrakech. Take a break halfway through for lunch at a local restaurant. You will be dropped off at your original departure point or in Djemaa El Fna around 8 pm. Upgrades are available for an overnight stay in the Bedouin camp, such as a luxury tent with 5-star bathroom and amenities. These upgrades must be booked per person.
