Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades
Begin your journey by driving through the High Atlas Mountains, passing one Berber village after another, to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou. This village is famous for its kasbah and fortified village, and has been the setting for famous Hollywood epics and photo shoots for magazines. After some free time, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and continue your journey through Ouarzazate, known as the Gateway to the Sahara. Continue to Boumalne Dades, admiring the scenic drive along the Dades Valley, where you can dine and rest for the night.
Day 2: Dades – Todgha Gorges – Merzouga
After breakfast, you’ll leave your hotel to head to Tinghir and its spectacular Todgha Gorge, stopping for some free time to explore the canyons. Enjoy lunch at a local café and continue to Merzouga to meet your camel caravan. Discover the dunes of Erg Chebbi on the back of a camel and watch the sunset. Reach your desert camp before dark and enjoy an authentic Moroccan dinner under the stars. Local nomads will take care of the entertainment and show you how to play traditional Tam Tam drums. Dinner and stop for the night.
Day 3: Merzouga Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After an early wake-up call to witness the sunrise before breakfast (optional), a driver will be waiting for you for the return transfer to Marrakech. Stop halfway for lunch at a local restaurant.
